NLC condemns Boko Haram’s continued killing of Nigerians

By Suzan Edeh
Bauchi-The Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC, has condemned the continued killing of innocent Nigerians in some parts of the north by Boko Haram  in the name of fighting the course of Islam.

NLC National President, Comrade Ayuba Wabba, who made the condemnation during the opening ceremony of the  10th NLC State Level School in Bauchi, organised by the state council of the  NLC, said the Muslim world had disassociated itself from the activities of Boko Haram, pointing out that the activities of the sect were the height of cruelty and crime against humanity.  Wabba, who was represented by Bauchi State NLC chairman, Hasimu Gital, said a religious state could not be established by acts of terrorism and vandalism.  He said: “Nigeria is enmeshed in crisis of unimaginable challenges, ranging from corruption, kidnapping, armed robbery to other social vices, but among all the self-imposed problems, the most disheartening is the killings of innocent Nigerians in the name of Islam.  “The act of barbarism being perpetuated by Boko Haram can only lead to the establishment of a satanic state which can never be created in the country.” - See more at: http://www.vanguardngr.com
