The Kwara State Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, has arrested a 37-year-old man, Mr. Samuel Yawo, who allegedly had been impersonating the agency. The Kwara State Commander, NDLEA, Mr. Reuben Apea, disclosed this. He said the suspect had been parading himself as an officer of the NDLEA for the past three years. According to Apea, investigations carried out by the agency revealed that Yawo had also been extorting money from the public, using a fake identity card, which he allegedly fraudulently procured. He added that the suspect was arrested in the Jebba Area Command of the NDLEA and transferred to the state headquarters. The suspect, Yawo, who claimed to be from Kaduna State pleaded for forgiveness, saying he was led into the act due to hardship.
